SCHOOL SPORT

In 2016 Camden South Public School have fielded a number of sporting teams in their respective State Knockout competitions. Netball, Cricket, Basketball, Soccer and Rugby League are just some of the areas where our school excels in not only athleticism but also in sportsmanship.

Rugby League News – August 2016

Congratulations to the senior rugby league team who won the group 6 league knockout against Narellanvale PS last term and went on to compete at the NSW state carnival. The boys were very impressive and made it to the quarter finals, narrowly being beaten and missing out on the semi-finals. The boys did an amazing job and we are very proud of the sportsmanship they displayed.

  AFL News – May 2016

This week Lachlan Bush, Blake Ciscato, and Evan Wulff  have spent the week in Nelson Bay representing the Sydney South West area, at the NSW AFL carnival. The team finished 8th, which was a great achievement, and positioned them one place higher up the ladder than last year.

According to Mr Passlow who kindly accompanied them, they all played extremely well and proved to be very valuable team members. Blake Ciscato was selected to be Vice Captain and featured in discussions to be selected in the NSW team, however, narrowly missed out. Congratulations Lachlan, Blake, and Evan on such a fine effort representing our school and region at this event.

 Basketball News – March 2016

Congratulations to Oliver Stewart and Adrian Lane who played their way into the Sydney Southwest Basketball team. What an outstanding achievement!
